I came across this post from Mallory Dagher and wow - it resonated with me. I wanted to share it here with you also as I expect it will speak to those of us who have not finished what we started writing.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
In her post, this is what she wrote:
"I don’t think we talk enough about how heavy writing can feel sometimes.
It shows up when you scroll and see someone announce their book deal.
When you hear about someone finishing their manuscript in three months.
When you realize you’ve been “working on your book” for longer than you planned.
And suddenly, the pressure bubbles up and out of your heart like you missed a moment everyone else seemed to catch.
You are not late.
Not every book is just about words on a page. Some books require healing before they can be written clearly. Some require maturity. Some require life experience you didn’t have two years ago.
And some require you to become the kind of person who can carry the message without crumbling under it.
That takes time.
The world celebrates fast, but God takes His good ol’ sweet time.
Powerful writing often grows slowly underground in the seasons where nothing even sprouts.
So if you feel behind, I want you to know that you are not missing your moment.
You are deep in it.
What feels like delay is often God pulling you deeper, not wider.
What feels like waiting is God preparing you to hold the overflow of what you’re asking for.
Hang on tight, friend. The overflow is COMING!"
