Etihad Recruitment Process: Online, Mixed & In-Person Options
Hi everyone, let me quickly guide you through the two options you can choose if you want to join Etihad: the online process, the mixed-process and the in-person process.
When it comes to the online application, you need to apply for the Cabin Crew Worldwide position on the official Etihad Careers website. You’ll be required to attach your CV and fill out the application form. I also recommend attaching your cover letter. It’s not mandatory, but it definitely helps you stand out and exceed expectations. There is also one question you need to answer:“What interests you about working for Etihad, and how do you feel about relocating to Abu Dhabi, UAE?”
Once you apply, if your CV and application are strong enough, you will receive an invitation to complete the HireVue online assessment within a set timeframe. HireVue includes a self-recorded video interview and different modules designed to test your skills, experience, and mindset. I’ll go into more detail about this in a separate post.
After HireVue, the next stage will depend on your location. It will usually be one of the following:
  • a virtual assessment day (if Etihad does not host in-person events in your country, such as the US, Canada, or Latin America),
  • an in-person assessment day (mostly if you are based in the UAE, where events are frequently held in Abu Dhabi), which is an invite-only event,
  • or an open day (if there are upcoming events, mainly in Europe), which is a walk-in event.
If you are invited to a virtual assessment day, the entire process is completed online. After a successful assessment, you will take an English test. Once you pass, you will receive an offer letter. After you accept the offer and complete all background checks, you will be given your date of joining, which confirms that you have joined the airline FAMILY.
If, after HireVue, you are invited to an open day or an assessment day, you will continue with the in-person process. After the event, you will complete an English test, receive an offer letter, and then your date of joining.
If you choose the fully in-person route, you need to attend an open day. No application is required, as open days are walk-in events. You don’t go through the initial ATS (Applicant Tracking System) screening, which means you have the opportunity to present yourself directly. You attend the open day, and if you pass the CV drop, you move forward to the assessment day. Then comes the English test, the offer letter, and finally your date of joining. I’ll share more details about this in a separate post.
Which process is better?
The best process is the one that is AVAILABLE to you. If you can attend an open day, go for it. If not, apply online.
