Covers are such a big part of children’s books — sometimes they’re the very thing that makes a child (or a parent!) pull a book off the shelf. But what really catches the eye?
Is it bold colours, playful characters, elegant typography… or something else entirely?
Personally, I’m always drawn to typographic covers — a beautiful font or even a clever bit of photo manipulation mixed with the text instantly grabs my attention.
So tell me: what’s the first thing you notice on a cover that makes you want to open the book? 💜📚
