🌈 Fun Baking Idea #1: Rainbow Layer Cake (From a Box Mix!)
This is a show-stopper cake that looks fancy but is actually very beginner-friendly. Great for birthdays, parties, or social media content.
🧁 You’ll Need:
- 1 box white cake mix (plus ingredients on the box)
- Food coloring (red, yellow, green, blue, etc.)
- 2–3 bowls
- 1 tub or batch of vanilla frosting
🥣 How To Make It:
- Prepare the cake batter according to the box.
- Divide the batter evenly into 3–5 bowls (however many colors you want).
- Add food coloring to each bowl and mix until bright.
- Pour each color into separate greased cake pans (or bake in batches).
- Bake according to box directions and let layers cool completely.
- Stack the layers with frosting between each one.
- Frost the outside and decorate however you like!
💡 Business Tip:
Rainbow cakes photograph really well and are great for birthdays and custom orders.
