💡Back to Basics: Use Captions
Can I confess something? There are so many videos I never watch with the sound on.
Sometimes I'm in a waiting room. Sometimes I'm next to someone. Sometimes I'm just scrolling quietly and don't want to disturb anybody. And I know I'm not the only one, which is why captions matter so much.
You could have the best message, the best product, or the best advice in the world, but if someone can't quickly understand what your video is about, they'll probably keep scrolling.
The thing is, captions aren't just for accessibility anymore. They're part of good content.
- They help people follow along.
- They keep attention longer.
- And they make it easier for your message to land.
And the good news is most platforms will generate them automatically now, so there's really no reason not to use them 😃
