I haven't mentioned it yet. I am the founder of a start-up that develops innovative hardware solutions in the technology sector. At the same time, I provide technical coaching and consultancy services to two different start-ups operating in the field of technology, providing strategic and operational support to their development processes. Due to this intense pace and the need to effectively manage your professional network, I use LinkedIn very actively to strengthen my connections and closely follow developments in the industry.
LinkedIn is one of the most powerful platforms for professionals, but selling here isn’t like traditional sales. People don’t come to LinkedIn to buy products! they’re here to connect, learn, and get inspired.
That’s why the key to success isn’t about “selling” not “serving.” So, how do you do it?
Don’t Sell… SERVE‼️
1️⃣Show Up Consistently
The first rule of winning on LinkedIn is to be visible—regularly. If people don’t see you, they won’t know what you offer. But this doesn’t mean spamming; it’s about consistency and quality.
2️⃣Educate
LinkedIn is a learning hub. People love content that solves their problems or helps them grow.
Instead of pushing a sale, share knowledge that makes their lives easier.
3️⃣Relate to Their Needs
Everyone cares about their own story.
To sell on LinkedIn, you need to understand what your audience needs and speak their language. Empathy is key.
4️⃣Value Relationships Over Transactions
Chasing a quick sale on LinkedIn rarely works.
Focus on building relationships first—people want to know who they’re trusting before they buy.
5️⃣Engage with Authenticity
A robotic or overly formal tone can push people away on LinkedIn. Be yourself—natural, approachable, and genuine.
