You Can’t Be a Secret and Succeed.
If you don’t look credible, communicate clearly, and show up consistently, people will not buy.
And it’s not because you’re not talented.
It’s because they don’t know, let alone trust, what they can’t see!
Heya, I’m Laura, founder of Boxxed Studio and Business Boxxed.
And I built this space because I’ve lived that gap, and I've been on a mission to change that.
I was great at what I did.
I regularly was fully booked through referrals, delivering real results, and leaving my clients satisfied.
But he was constantly behind the scenes.
No audience. No online voice. No brand that worked without me explaining it.
And honestly? I didn’t think I needed visibility. I thought being good was enough.
And it is - until a certain point.
I watched less experienced people get the next opportunities I really wanted
- speaking gigs, media features, and dream clients, simply because they were seen.
They looked the part. They showed up consistently. And they knew how to tell their story.
So I changed the strategy.
I started posting, even when I was inconsistent or didn't think I had much to talk about.
I refined my message, so I started to feel like an expert speaking on a single set of topics.
I rebuilt my own business systems (not my clients for once!) like I was building for someone 10x bigger.
And slowly, it really started to shift.
And everything shifted.
✅ People introduced me with confidence, because now they got what I did.
✅ I stopped chasing, and started attracting.
Since then:
✓ Spoke on two national conference panels
✓ Landed a TEDx advisory board position
✓ Got published in an industry newsletter
✓ Booked a podcast and fireside chat appearance
✓ Facilitated a corporate training workshop
✓ Secured more new tier-one clients
✓ Joined the largest Black-owned arts business organisation in the UK
✓ Invited into insider-only events and private founder collectives
Now I’m watching the results compound, not because I changed what I do, but because I finally look, sound, and operate like someone people trust.
That’s what this space is about.
