My Exact Day Trading Setup After 25 Years of Trading
People ask me constantly what equipment I use to trade. Here's the honest breakdown:
Computer:
- Desktop: Digital Tigers (AMD Ryzen, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD) — reliable, great customer service, built to last
- Laptop: Dell XPS 17 (64GB RAM, i9) for travel — powerful but heavy
- Mac: For everything except trading — DAS Trader is Windows-only and TC2000 runs noticeably better on Windows
Monitors:
- I run 3 monitors at home — built around my TC2000 workflow
- If you're starting out? Two monitors is all you need. One for charts, one for your broker
The honest truth: I started on a Compaq laptop in a Michigan State dorm room in 1999. The setup does not create the edge. Discipline does.
