Welcome to Brush & Banner, a structured miniature painting school and community built for hobbyists of Warhammer 40K, D&D, Trench Crusade, 3D prints, and more.
Stephen is your painting instructor, and Mat is your community liaison. More than that, we’re just two normal guys who love painting miniatures and helping others improve.
BUT, why did we build this platform?
While YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms have great content, they are not designed to teach in a clear, organized way.
We have created the "best of both worlds" - a positive environment where painters can learn, grow, and get genuine constructive feedback.

Great community. People will jump in and give advice when asked. Im new to mini painting. Currently working on my second mini. The tutorials and progression based system has made it super easy to navigate the beginnings of being a miniature painter. Can recommend for sure

This group is incredible ,especially for those new to the world of painting miniatures . As a beginner myself I have received tons of feedback and help from the instructors and community members. Everyone is friendly and always happy to help. Come join it’s worth it!

These guys have been an incredible help to my growth as a miniature painter. Stephen’s monthly feedback sessions have been absolutely incredible and some of the best people around always trying to help out the community

This community is easily one of the best around! Everyone is super friendly and helpful and while we are all at different skill levels, we each learn a bit from everyone else.
The lessons are bite-sized and very informative and Stephen and Mat do their best to keep everything in the community up to date and cutting-edge. They are both extremely responsive and helpful as well.
I have grown so much more as a mini painter in the 9-ish months I’ve been here as compared to the previous 3 years!
