The 6 degress of separation
What if I told you you’re only 6 people away from anyone in the world? 🌍 And I mean ANYONE — Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg… you name it.
On average, you only need 6 introductions to reach anyone on the planet.
Here’s how you can use it:
1️⃣ Start with your immediate circle (friends, family, teachers, coworkers).
2️⃣ Leverage social media — LinkedIn, Instagram, even Twitter. One DM can connect you to someone’s network.
3️⃣ Be specific when you ask. Instead of “Do you know investors?” ask “Do you know someone who invests in real estate startups?”
4️⃣ Build trust first. People only connect you to their network if they believe in you.
5️⃣ Stack introductions. A warm intro is 100x more powerful than a cold call.
Your next big break is never as far away as it feels. All it takes is knowing a guy… who knows a guy… who knows a guy. 🤝
