I was just thinking…
One of the biggest challenges in Sterile Processing isn’t the technical side of the job. Most of you all can master the tray line, the washers, the sterilizers, and the case carts. But the real growth happens when we start asking:
How do I influence the culture of my department? What does it take to shift from “doer” to “leader”? Am I preparing myself to sit at the table where decisions are made?
That transition can feel overwhelming. Some days it feels like we’re grinding with little payoff. But leadership growth is often less about big leaps and more about small, consistent steps that eventually change the way people see you and how you see yourself.
So here’s my thought for today: What’s one “small step” you’ve taken recently that moved you closer to being the kind of leader you want to be?
