How hard is it to start a cybersecurity career? An interesting take
Only way we can measure difficulty is by comparing it to something else.
Here’s my non exclusive list of things that are harder:
- Starting a profitable business (any size)
- Owning a profitable business (any size)
- Raising children
- Training for a 5k
- Learning a new language
- Any undergrad math course above algebra
- Getting a 1400 on the SAT
- Working 60h/week
- Gaining 1000 followers on social media
Chances are, you’ve already done something harder.
But your problem? You’re not motivated. Because? You don’t yet believe it could be you.
Friends. It can be. And it will be. If you let it.
Dive in. Make 2026 your year.
