I am Louise, I currently live in the southern part Alberta, Canada. I am a professional hobbyist photographer. My adult daughter, Shyla does photography with me, we mostly shoot wildlife, northern lights or macro and do some landscapes. When I post images they could be from either one of us.
I created this community to fill a niche that is the black & white or monochromatic images and post processing. I am really looking forward to seeing images posted by others, learning from others or helping someone with their processing and connecting with other like-minded people.
Whether you shoot in B&W jpeg, or in raw then process in B&W you are creating art that moves away from color telling the story to letting your lights, darks and subject tell the story. When you strip color from the equation it allows the viewer to engage with your image with fewer distractions.
