The Peptide Mistake That Cost Me Six Months
I spent six months chasing the wrong compound.
Shoulder injury from bench press. Started BPC-157, standard protocol, felt nothing after eight weeks. Upped the dose, switched sources, added TB-500, still nothing. Concluded peptides were overhyped.
Finally saw a sports orthopedist. Turns out it wasn't soft tissue it was a partial thickness rotator cuff tear with impingement. Needed physical therapy and eventually surgery. No peptide was going to fix that.
The mistake wasn't trying BPC-157. It was not getting imaging first. I self-diagnosed, self-treated, and wasted half a year on a structural problem that needed mechanical intervention.
The lesson:
Peptides are for repairable soft tissue, not diagnostic tools. Before you pin for months, know what you're actually treating. The time and money you "save" skipping the doctor costs more in the long run.
What's the longest you ran a peptide before realizing the problem was something else entirely?
