"The important thing is not the survival of the soul after death and its immortality by grace, because even all the sinners will still live. Nor is the resurrection of bodies the important thing, because the bodies of sinners too will rise again. The important thing is the life in Christ both after death and after the resurrection of the bodies. Therefore in Orthodox soteriology the immortality of the soul and of the man acquire another meaning. What is important is not the prolongation of life nor the life after death, but the transcending of death, which happens through life in Christ."
