Quick tip that makes a huge difference on your listings:📸
Always shoot in “Square” mode on your iPhone camera.
A lot of people take super wide photos or 4:3 photos, and when they upload them to Facebook Marketplace, half the couch gets cropped or the image looks funky in search results.
Using Square mode gives you a perfectly framed photo that fits FB’s listing layout and no more chopped edges or wasted space.
✅ Step-by-step:
- Open your iPhone camera
- Swipe to “Square”
- Take your shot head-on, slightly elevated
- Make sure the item fills the frame evenly on both sides
It’s a small detail, but clean, centered photos instantly make your listings look more professional and grab more clicks.

The first two examples are chopped photos in which the sellers probably used a 4:3 setting. The last photo is my listing using a "Square" setting on an iPhone.
