Happy Wednesday Members!
I wanted to share a quick tip that has been really helpful for me and others I've worked with when it comes to actually sticking with a budget long term.
One of the biggest reasons people fall off with budgeting isn't that they don't care or don't have a good system — it's just that life gets busy and it slips their mind. The fix I always come back to is simple: set a recurring calendar event on Sunday mornings to do a quick budget check-in.
Sunday tends to work well because you usually have a little more time and it's right before the week starts, so you're in a natural planning mindset anyway. And it doesn't need to take long — even just 5-10 minutes to update your numbers, see where you're at, and adjust if needed is enough to stay on top of it.
The goal isn't to overhaul your whole budget every week. It's just to keep it a living document that you're actually looking at instead of something you set up once and forget about.
Give it a try this Sunday if you haven't already. And as always, if you have any questions or want help setting up a system that works for your situation, feel free to reach out — that's what I'm here for.
