Goose is coming along great!

Been working on the retrieve quite a bit getting goose ready for the season, this will be her second season and she is steady to wing and shot (at least on Planted birds lol)

Last hunting season she was puppy prancing with birds along with dropping them. Force fetch was on the table but to be honest her desire to retrieve is strong. I listened to

podcast “force fetch and Hold training”. That podcast opened my eyes and I didn’t realize that there was another option out side of force fetch, but since goose naturally retrieves quite well the “Hold” command made a lot of since to me.

I’m not chasing ribbons and hunt way more than I play the NAVHDA game so a perfect retrieve is not something that is needed. I chose to work hold training. Pressure was not the focal point and forcing goose to a pile of bumpers isn’t in my cards.
