Wanting ≠ moving towards.
You can want to be fitter and never train.
Want a better job and never apply.
Want more clients and never sell.
Want a better relationship and never have the uncomfortable conversation.
Want to grow your business while continuing to operate exactly as you did when it was half the size.
The desire can be completely genuine.
That's the interesting part.
We're often told that if we want something badly enough, we'll find the motivation to make it happen.
But wanting an outcome and consistently performing the behaviours required to create that outcome are two very different things.
You can spend months thinking about a goal, researching it, planning it, visualising it and preparing for it.
It can feel like progress.
But eventually there has to be movement.
And movement doesn't have to be dramatic.
Go to the gym today.
Send one application.
Contact one potential client.
Have one conversation.
Make one decision you've been postponing.
Do the next thing that makes the outcome slightly more likely than it was yesterday.
Because you don't need to transform your entire life today.
You just need to stop confusing wanting the destination with walking towards it.
💜 That's part of what we'll be experimenting with during the 22-Day Purple Pill Challenge starting 22 September.
For now, ask yourself:
What do I say I want - and what did I actually DO towards it this week?
