Sharing method I learned in the BBQ 101 course from BBQ Quebec. To cook your sausages well without burning them the best method is to use indirect cooking.
- Heat up your BBQ to 350-400 Fahrenheit.
- You can the place the sausages on the upper grill of your BBQ for indirect cooking. If you do not have an upper grill, create a direct and indirect zone on the bottom grill.
- Once your sausages reach an internal temperature of at least 160 Fahrenheit you can sear them briefly on 2 sides.
- Let them rest for 5-6 minutes. The juices will balance themselves within the sausages.
The result will be perfectly cooked and very tasty sausages without any burned areas. Try it out!
