Built a Functional AI Voice Agent for a Dental Clinic — Here’s What It Actually Does

I’ve been experimenting with voice agents recently, so I decided to build a practical one for a dental clinic in Vapi.

Here’s what the agent can handle:

📞 Picks up missed calls automatically

❓ Answers common patient questions (timings, treatments, pricing ranges, etc.)

📅 Books new appointments

🔄 Cancels or reschedules existing ones

📝 Saves a clean call summary to Google Sheets so the clinic team can review everything

Stack used: Vapi + n8n

It’s not perfect yet — I’m still improving the flow and refining the responses — but the core system is working smoothly.
