Claude 4 is Here - Major Upgrade for Coders & Builders

Anthropic just released Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 - their most advanced AI models yet.

- Claude Opus 4 is the top coding model in the world (72.5% on SWE-bench), designed for long, complex tasks and agent workflows.

- Claude Sonnet 4 is a powerful upgrade to version 3.7, offering better reasoning, sharper code output (72.7% SWE-bench), and faster responses.

New capabilities include:

- Tool use during reasoning (e.g. web search)

- Parallel tools and file-based memory

- Native coding integrations (VS Code, JetBrains)

- New API tools: code execution, MCP, Files API, and prompt caching

Both models support fast replies or deep thinking at the same price as before.

Available now via Anthropic API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloud Vertex AI.

Opus = performance for agents and research

Sonnet = ideal for daily dev work
