🚨 WHAT CHANGED
Amazon tightened a LOT of things across the board
For influencers + affiliates:
• You now only get paid on the EXACT product (or variant) clicked
• No more “halo” commissions from other items in the cart
• Purchases have to be shipped within 180 days
• If a sale comes from paid ads… no commission
Creators are also noticing drops in conversions and reporting

📦 FOR SELLERS
Amazon is also adding new fees
A 3.5% logistics surcharge is rolling out
Which basically means… tighter margins across the board

💰 WHAT THIS MEANS
Yes… some commission categories have been reduced over time
And now on top of that…
Fewer purchases actually qualify for commission
So overall earnings for many creators are going down

💛 REAL TALK (my opinion)
I get why people are upset
But if we’re being honest…
We were kind of spoiled
Getting paid on products we didn’t even promote
Just because someone clicked our link?
That’s not how most affiliate programs work

Am I happy about it?
No
Does it suck seeing commissions drop?
Of course

But at the same time…
It makes sense
And this is what happens in ANY business
Things change
Platforms evolve
Rules get tighter

🔥 THE REAL OPPORTUNITY
This just means one thing:
You need to focus on content that actually converts
• Strong product reviews
• Clear recommendations
• Intent-driven content
The creators who adapt will still win!!
