LUCIFERIAN PRIESTHOODS
Satan Behind the King of Tyre
Before understanding Luciferian priesthoods, it is important to understand the context of Ezekiel 28. The chapter begins as a prophecy against the king of Tyre, a natural ruler operating in pride and rebellion against God. However, as the prophecy progresses, the language begins to shift. Ezekiel starts speaking about someone who existed long before the king of Tyre ever lived. The description moves beyond a human king and begins revealing the spiritual power operating behind him.
Priests and intercessors are called to help regulate spiritual activity. Throughout scripture, priests often found themselves confronting unseen powers working behind earthly systems. Ezekiel was not merely addressing a man. He was confronting Satan operating through the king of Tyre. This is not unusual in scripture. Aaron, the first High Priest and technically an ancestor of Ezekiel, confronted the spiritual powers behind Egypt through priestly authority.
Exodus 12:12 (NKJV)“For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.”
Priests do not merely minister to people. They contend with spiritual activity and help establish a healthy spiritual climate. Sometimes this means confronting darkness and bringing it into submission to the purposes of God.
The Priestly Covering of Lucifer
Ezekiel 28:13–14 (NKJV)“You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold... You were the anointed cherub who covers...”
Every gemstone and metal listed in this passage is also found in the priestly garments described in Exodus. This reveals that there was something priestly about Lucifer before his fall. He was clothed with glory and functioned around the presence of God.
Verse 14 calls him “the anointed cherub who covers.” The Hebrew concept behind this covering is connected to sakak, meaning to defend, hedge in, protect, or cover. This was one of Lucifer’s original faculties before rebellion entered his heart.
Guardianship is a function found throughout priesthood. When King Uzziah entered the temple to burn incense, the priests resisted him because he was operating outside of his assignment. They were protecting what God had declared holy.
The cherubim themselves reveal this principle.
Genesis 3:24 (NKJV)“So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
The cherubim guarded Eden. They guarded access to the tree of life. Guardianship is woven into priesthood. God entrusts holy things to priests and expects them to protect what has been entrusted to them.
Trade, Violence, and Corrupt Priesthoods
As Ezekiel continues, another dimension of Lucifer's fall is revealed.
Ezekiel 28:16 (NKJV)“By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, and you sinned...”
Notice the connection between trade and violence. One of the characteristics repeatedly seen in demonic priesthoods is the desire to position themselves wherever economy, exchange, and resources are flowing. Righteous priesthoods are called to guard what God has entrusted. Demonic priesthoods seek to control, exploit, and extort.
This same pattern appears in the sons of Eli.
1 Samuel 2:12 (NKJV)“Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD.”
The phrase translated “corrupt” identifies them as sons of Belial. Belial means worthless, wicked, or lawless. Though they were Levitical priests by lineage, the corruption of their hearts caused them to function according to another order.
Notice how violence appears again.
1 Samuel 2:16 (NKJV)“And if the man said to him, ‘They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,’ he would then answer him, ‘No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.’”
They were priests positioned where sacrifice, exchange, and resources flowed. Instead of guarding what belonged to God, they exploited it. They used force to obtain what they wanted. This mirrors the violence described in Ezekiel 28.
The same principle appears in Judas.
John 12:6 (NKJV)“This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.”
Satan eventually entered Judas, yet before that happened Judas was already positioned over the finances. He was the keeper of the money box. Again we see the connection between corruption and control over economic activity.
Tyre itself was one of the greatest centers of trade and commerce in the ancient world. This is why the spirit operating behind Tyre is so significant. Demonic priesthoods often seek influence over trade, wealth, and exchange because resources create influence.
This helps explain why scripture warns:
1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV)“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil...”
Money itself is not evil. The love of it becomes a doorway. Lucifer's corruption involved trade. The sons of Eli corrupted sacrifice for gain. Judas betrayed Christ while overseeing finances. A recurring trait of demonic priesthoods is the desire to exploit what was entrusted to them rather than steward it before God.
Accusation and Demonic Intercession
Another faculty Satan possesses as a fallen priest is accusation.
Zechariah 3:1 (NKJV)“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.”
Notice the scene. Joshua the High Priest is standing before the Lord and Satan is standing there also. This is the contention of two priesthoods.
Joshua is there representing people before God.
Satan is there accusing people before God.
This is why Revelation refers to Satan as the accuser of the brethren.
Revelation 12:10 (NKJV)“For the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”
Notice that he accuses day and night. Accusation is Satan's intercession. It is how a fallen priest ministers.
This is one of the reasons groups of intercessors often struggle with gossip, slander, criticism, and offense. Another priesthood is attempting to take over. The enemy wants intercessors to stop carrying people before God and start discussing people among themselves.
Many believers think gossip is simply a bad habit. In reality it is often participation in another priesthood.
Guardianship and Spiritual Resistance
Satan is still functioning with many of the faculties he possessed before his fall. He was an anointed cherub who covered. He was made to guard.
This helps explain why scripture repeatedly describes him moving throughout the earth.
Job 1:7 (NKJV)“From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
He is still guarding.
Paul understood this reality.
1 Corinthians 16:9 (NKJV)“For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
Notice the open door and the adversaries connected to it.
Demonic powers often position themselves around opportunities, assignments, resources, territories, and realms. This is why intercession is necessary. Through prayer believers gain access to the strategy of God and are able to outmaneuver spiritual resistance.
The enemy may guard a door, but through prayer God reveals how to enter it.
The enemy may resist an assignment, but through prayer God releases wisdom to fulfill it.
The enemy may occupy a territory, but prayer gives believers access to Heaven's strategy for overcoming resistance.
Demonic priesthoods resist. Righteous priesthoods overcome through prayer.
