🧠 Understanding the Mind
We often try to change our circumstances, our relationships, and even other people—without first understanding the mind that is experiencing them.
The mind can turn a small thought into worry, a memory into sadness, or a desire into endless dissatisfaction.
But when we pause and simply observe the mind, something begins to change.
We start to see:
🌱 A thought is not always the truth.
🌊 An emotion is not permanent.
🍃 A desire will arise and pass.
🕊️ Awareness gives us the space to choose our response.
Buddhist wisdom invites us not to fight the mind, but to understand it deeply.
The more clearly we see how thoughts, feelings, cravings, and reactions arise and pass away, the less power they have over us.
Understanding the mind is the beginning of understanding suffering—and the beginning of freedom. 🙏
