DAY 4 — Core Content Thesis
Being by yourself doesn’t mean you’re alone. I document the journey from carrying life like you have no help to remembering that God is with you, loving you, leading you, and holding what feels too heavy to carry on your own.
The buried thing:
I thought I was doing life alone because I didn’t have someone beside me to help me carry it.
Day 5 — "FOR YOU"
BEFORE
She comes home after a long day of work, kicks off her shoes, and drops her purse on the table. The apartment is quiet in a way that makes everything feel heavier. She checks her phone, hoping he finally reached out. Nothing. “Day three,” she thinks. She plops down on the couch and sinks into desperation, feeling the weight of wanting someone beside her - not just to help carry life, but to share the little moments, the hard days, the quiet nights, and the future she keeps trying to figure out by herself.
AFTER
A song begins to play. A minute in, the weight begins to lift. The music sings to her like a love song from the Savior, speaking straight to her pain. She takes a deep breath. Her shoulders relax. She leans back on the couch and closes her eyes. For the first time in a long time, it occurs to her that she is not alone - that God is with her, loving her, leading her, and taking care of what feels too heavy for her to carry on her own. A soft smile spreads across her face. She’s still all by herself, but she feels surrounded by love.
