Weekly Reduction Challenge: “Did you → Dija?
Americans almost never say “Did you” the slow, clear textbook way. Instead, it reduces to “Dija” in fast speech.
👉 Try these:
- “Did you eat yet?” → “Dija eat yet?”
- “Did you call her?” → “Dija call her?”
- “Did you see that?” → “Dija see that?”
Your task:
- Record yourself saying each sentence slowly (textbook style).
- Then record again with the reduction (“Dija”).
- Post your two versions in the comments so others can hear the difference.
