Hey guys ❤️
I wanted to check in because I feel like I’ve been a bit MIA lately—and I don’t love disappearing without saying anything.
Truthfully, I burned myself out pretty hard in January and February. Between that and being sick (I literally couldn’t even talk for a while), I just didn’t have the energy or drive to keep up the pace I had before. So I kind of gave myself March to recoup- and I needed it.
This group grew really fast, with a lot of initial momentum, we went from 14000 in discovery to 370 in only 6 weeks 😱 and while things have fizzled a bit... there is just a ton of personal pressure once you build a community to be "on" all the time... to meet expectations that aren't really even there... to be in the know about everything and simultaneously you really feel the burden of Amazon's adjustments and peoples struggles, at least I do 😅
I also haven’t been doing a ton of reviews during this time. But I have been working behind the scenes.
I got myself set up with a US address, I’ve been diving into product research, learning Pinterest, and getting caught up across my storefronts- and I’m really excited to say I’m now earning on every single one of them 🙌 but simultaneously feeling my own pressure on my lack of ability to maintain the momentum I had previously much let follow my own advice lol
But honestly… even with all the Amazon changes lately (Halos gone, reporting being all over the place, Creator Connections being hit or miss), I’m feeling really optimistic, because here’s the thing- despite pulling way back and basically taking March “off”… I still made four figures from Amazon.
That was a huge reminder for me of how real this opportunity is and why I like to talk about it and why it is the main goal.
So lately I have been easing back into reviews, but with a different approach. I’m focusing a lot more on quality over quantity (week 11 is live btw!) right now while I regroup and rethink the structure and mission behind this group (reality is- others are charging hundreds of dollars for info on the same topic but perhaps I need to bring it back to the original mission... so many things to consider)
Anyway- today I sat down and filmed a handful of reviews on products we actually use every single day- and instead of trying to “sell,” I just talked. Explained. Compared. Took my time. Most of them ended up being 4–8 minutes long. Also did a couple comparison videos. I covered a bunch of the who what where and why behind all of this inside my 1k review challenge! Week 11 is all about quality over quantity.
I’m trying to create the kind of content I would actually want to watch before buying something.
So if I’ve felt a little quiet, that’s why- but I’m still here. I’ve been working on my Amazon stuff, the classroom, and figuring out a pace that’s actually sustainable because I do want to be able to do both but Amazon is so damn easy and passive that it's hard not to gravitate that way, especially when I am feeling burnt out lol.
Currently I’m feeling refreshed, refocused, and ready to build again- just in a way that doesn’t burn me out this time. Oh and I did create a FB group so hopefully maybe funnel people in here. If you could join I would appreciate you even more than I already do. https://www.facebook.com/amazonreviewhub1/
Appreciate you guys always being here ❤️
