Great Job
Sounds good to hear every now and then. One of the keys to creating lasting change is to notice and celebrate the small wins. Even if it's just a 'good job' or 'attaboy/attagirl' to your self.
I can't help but notice that in my life raising my two amazing daughters that the more I stay present and notice what they are doing or attempting to do, and celebrating their success first. "That was so good." Before going into any correction or re-direction has been extremely valuable in installing a healthy sense of achievement. After they learn the task or skill they will often tell me "good job daddy" with great enthusiasm. Over the years this has had a compounding effect that when they are doing a good job they are able to give their full focus and attention that translates to learning new skills and being creative.
And when there is need for a correction or re-direction, using ever so subtle nudges and reminders to what the desired outcome is, becomes the way to easily align them back on to doing a good task. We experience minimal melt-downs or tantrums because the focus is not on "what's wrong" but rather "it's better/easier to do that this way". Problem solving rather than problem focused.
Inside each of you is a part of your self that could use the same presence, attention, appreciation and gratitude for the small wins they are contributing to. The more you can hold the space for these parts to feel welcome, respected and rewarded for their efforts in your life, the more they will show up in a positive with with more energy, motivation and determination to continue to grow and improve.
What subtle shifts have you noticed that you can give yourself credit for in your personal growth journey this week. You are doing great.
