Operators. Standard Five of the Twelve: Master the Craft.
Most men do not have ten years of experience. They have one year repeated ten times. Repetition is not practice. It is maintenance, and maintenance holds a level, it never raises one. The rep that builds you is the one at the edge of what you can currently do, run slow, with the correction applied before the next rep. Comfort inside a skill is the signal you stopped building it.
Mastery is not talent arriving late. It is the same hour spent on the hard part instead of the part you already enjoy.
One action before noon: name the one skill your position depends on, find the piece of it you have been quietly avoiding, and run thirty minutes on that piece alone.
Hold the line.
