Step 1: Set Up Kikoff
- Download the Kikoff app
- Create your account
- Tap Credit Report
Step 2: Access Your Equifax Report
- Make sure you’re viewing the Equifax credit report inside the app
- Scroll until you see “Dispute”
- Tap New
Step 3: Identify Negative Items
- If late payments appear, you’ll see options such as “Dispute Errors” or “Dispute More Errors”
- Tap the option to begin the dispute process
Step 4: Select Late Payments
- Choose up to 5 late payments at a time
- Confirm by selecting “5/5 selected”
Step 5: Choose Your Dispute Reason
Select:“Received COVID-19 pandemic accommodation from lender.”
This is a commonly used dispute reason reported by some consumers.
Step 6: Generate & Submit Dispute Letters
- Tap Next → Generate Letters
- Kikoff will submit the dispute letters on your behalf
