I was 8 when I got my hands on my cousin's beat-up guitar and a beginner's classical book. No teacher, no YouTube — I just worked through the book on my own. After my parents saw I actually stuck with it, they signed me up for private lessons.
The first six months were rough, honestly. Lots of fumbling. But then something clicked: I realized the music I actually liked wasn't as hard to play as I'd thought. I learned a few songs I cared about, and from there things moved fast.
That's the kind of moment this category is for — when something finally clicks. Doesn't matter how small. First chord that didn't buzz. First time you switched between two chords without stopping. First song you played start to finish.
