Prompt Experiment: How Small Mood Changes Affect Suno Results
I ran a small prompt experiment and noticed something interesting.
Changing just one word in the mood can shift the entire direction of the song.
Example prompts:
Prompt A:
melancholic indie rock song about resilience with emotional male vocal and atmospheric guitars
Prompt B:
uplifting indie rock song about resilience with emotional male vocal and atmospheric guitars
Both prompts describe the same theme, but the mood word (“melancholic” vs “uplifting”) often changes the pacing, chord feel, and vocal delivery.
If anyone wants to try this experiment:
1. Use the same song idea
2. Change only the mood word
3. Compare the results
