I've just had the most amazing one-hour experience with Chat GPT. I am doing some web development and was experiencing issues. I had phoned my (Human) support desk, and they weren't very helpful at all. In fact, to get answers, they asked AI.
I then checked to see if AI knew the answers. They knew the system I was using; they knew the possible configurations and had a number of (all valid) options. I tried a few things they suggested, and when they didn't work, they checked the issue, identified further problems, and guided me through until it was resolved.
This was an absolutely mind-blowing experience.
My human support desk - Whatsapp chat, junior staff member, with minutes between responses, and largely unhelpful.
AI - immediate response. Very knowledgeable. Absolutely accurate every time.
If this is the new reality, then human call centre and support desk operators should be very scared.
