Mine was. And I only found out when I let AI audit my setup.
I’d collected 196 skills. The audit found 10 duplicates, a skill Codex was using that was seven weeks out of date, and four plugins I hadn’t touched in 90 days running code on every tool call.
The weirdest part? Claude had a “never post without my approval” rule. A Codex automation was posting in this community every four hours.
😅 2 conflicting rules.
I recorded the cleanup: AI read 90 days of my history, proposed 10 fixes, and I said yes or no. Each fix came with a one-line undo. 🧹
After: 196 skills → 116. About 8,000 fewer tokens loaded every session.
Both tools reading the same rules.
I packaged the audit as a free download for Claude Code and Codex.
It’s in the video description.
Before you add another skill or rewrite another prompt, see what’s already getting loaded.
