"Hey everyone! I'm Greg Ray, CDM, CFPP with 40 years of experience in foodservice manager with the last 15+ years in LTC dietary management. I've managed kitchens from 40 to 300+ beds, achieved numerous deficiency-free CMS surveys, and spent my career helping residents get the best possible dining experience.
But here's the truth nobody talks about: we are burning out.
Between staffing shortages, survey pressure, complex therapeutic diets, and mountains of documentation—the job has gotten harder, not easier.
