trying to install claude code

Your claude code newsletter assistant system sounds great.
I signed up..
How much coding knowledge/experience do i need to keep up?
I went to
I tried to install claude code.
I clicked on … install node.js 18+
When power shell finally stopped,
I copied the results.
I will attach/send them somehow ?
(I am new to medium)
Could not find a way – it is a long doc
Here are the last few lines

(i just found a way, see attached)
I then clicked on
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
nothing happened.
Was I supposed to copy the instructions/link and enter them … somewhere?
I downloaded the zip file.
…
I don’t think I have installed claude code correctly …
Step next ??? …
