Every local business in America is leaving money on the table. Their Google profile is incomplete. Their reviews are unmanaged. Their online presence is inconsistent. Their internal processes are bloated and manual. They have no idea β and nobody has ever shown them a better way.
They're not going to find the solution by Googling it. They're too busy running the business.
You walk in, show them the problem, hand them the solution, and charge for the service.
WHAT YOU'RE BUILDING
A Claude-powered business audit that analyzes a local business's full online presence β website, Google profile, reviews, social, local SEO β and produces a prioritized SOP (Standard Operating Process) telling them exactly what to fix and in what order for the biggest impact.
The output is a professional report with a clear action list. They can implement it themselves or hire you to do it for them. Either way, you get paid.
Austin Brown already closed a $500 sale with a laundromat doing exactly this. He delivered the report and SOP in the same week.
THE 9/10 PLAN
Phase 1 β Build your audit template with Claude (Days 1β2)
Open Claude and paste this prompt:
"I'm building a local business audit service. Help me create a comprehensive audit checklist for a local service business (laundromat, body shop, plumber, restaurant, etc.). Cover: Google Business Profile completeness, review count and average rating, website quality and mobile experience, social media presence, local SEO signals, and internal process gaps. For each category, give me 5 specific things to check and a simple score of 1β3. At the end, output a prioritized 'Top 3 things to fix first' with specific action steps. Make this easy enough that I can run it on any business in under an hour."
Save this template. That's your product.
Phase 2 β Run it on a real business for free (Days 2β4)
Pick a local business β one you actually visit, or one you noticed has obvious problems (low reviews, bad photos, no website). Tell them you're doing a free audit as part of a project. No pitch yet. Run the audit. Generate the report with Claude.
Phase 3 β Deliver and pitch (Day 5)
Show them the report. Walk them through the top 3 problems. Give them the SOP for free. Then: "I also offer a done-for-you service where I implement this for you. That starts at $X." Let them choose.
Phase 4 β Systematize and scale
Once you've done this once, you can run it on every business on the street. The audit itself takes under an hour. Claude does the heavy lifting. You're the person who walks in the door, builds the relationship, and presents the findings.
Target businesses: laundromats, body shops, plumbers, electricians, restaurants, chiropractors, dentists, gyms, nail salons β any local business with a physical location and reviews on Google.
PRICING
- Audit report only: $250β$500 (they implement themselves)
- - Audit + implementation: $1,000β$3,000 (you or a contractor does the work)
- - Monthly maintenance retainer: $300β$800/month (you manage their presence ongoing)
If the simulation shows your audit will make or save them $20,000+ this year, charging $5,000 for implementation isn't a stretch. That's the conversation to have.
NEXT STEPS (START HERE)
- Run the prompt above in Claude. Save the output as your audit template.
- Pick one local business near you with obvious problems. Run the audit on them mentally using public information β Google Maps, Yelp, their website.
- Request a 15-minute meeting. Tell them you spotted a few things in their online presence and wanted to share what you found β no charge, no pitch.
- Post your audit template in this thread so others can use it and improve it.
