what I found while exploring
Found this digging through repos this week. Sharing it because it might actually be useful for some of you, not because I've tested it myself.
It's a video editor. You type two sentences about the video you want. It goes and finds the footage, cuts it, adds transitions, renders the whole thing out. Runs on your own machine. No API keys. Takes 2 to 5 minutes depending on how long the video is. What comes out is a finished MP4.
It's built on Claude Code, not a wrapper around some SaaS with a pricing page. CapCut and Descript lock features behind a tier. You hit the wall, you're stuck. This one, if something's missing, you build it in yourself.
I haven't run it. Link's going up in the YouTube resources section of the classroom =1 - YouTube resources · AI Automation Club . Go check it out, try it if it fits what you're working on.
If you do, tell me. Worked, didn't work, whatever. And if you already know a better open-source tool doing the same thing, or you hit something this one can't do, send it my way. I'll fold whatever comes back into next posts.
