It took me a while to realise my body was changing.I had my uterus removed in 2020 (a big year for all of us), so it wasn’t easy to notice the signs. Looking back, I had been ignoring the night sweats for almost two years. I thought I was coming down with a cold, or maybe my bedding was too warm. A few times I even had to change my pajamas at night, but I shrugged it off — taking it “on the chin” like a real woman.
It wasn’t until October last year, at 47, that the light bulb finally went on. Not because I feared aging, but because I didn’t want to fall into the “complaining women” category. I knew nothing about menopause, and honestly, I didn’t want to know — it scared me. I felt too young. I was fit, healthy, and life was awesome. Why think about menopause?
But it hit me in the face. I lost my healthy sleep six months earlier and couldn’t figure out why. I tried herbal sleeping pills from the pharmacy — sometimes they worked, sometimes not. Then one cold November morning, when everyone else complained it was freezing, I was sweating so much I had to change my T-shirt.
Suddenly everything made sense — the sleepless nights, the little “Michelin tyre” around my waist, the mood swings that made me feel like a cartoon character. That moment was the start of my journey.
I wasn’t shocked, more relieved — because now I could do something about it. The more I spoke to women around me, the more I realised I didn’t want to repeat the struggles of generations before me. We live in the 21st century. Science is advanced, herbalists and naturopaths are respected, and there must be a better way.
I joined a Facebook group for menopausal women, but the horror stories there pushed me away fast. Instead, I began my own research into herbs, remedies, and most importantly — understanding what’s really happening inside the body.
Almost a year into this journey, I can say: I’m thriving. I’m healthy. And I’m happy.
✨ And that’s why I created Ageless Vitality.Because I believe our bodies don’t have to age drastically. We can influence our health through lifestyle and knowledge.
Let me show you how to get there.Let’s go 🌸
