From January 20th there's a new search engine advisers should be on
Here’s something most financial advisers haven’t clocked yet. Amazon is quietly becoming another search engine for financial adviser expertise. Here's how. Most financial planners and advisers already create excellent guides, reports and explanations for clients and prospects. The problem isn’t the quality of the content, it’s where it usually ends up. Tucked away on your website. Hidden in a drive. Emailed out as a PDF. Given away quietly and then forgotten. A forthcoming change from Amazon changes that dynamic. By publishing your guides and thinking as a Kindle ebook (in a certain format), readers can access it not just on Kindle, but also as a PDF or EPUB. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲. In practical terms, Amazon becomes an additional search and discovery platform for advisers – alongside Google, LinkedIn and ChatGPT – where consumers go specifically to look for explanations, guidance and clarity. Why this matters: • Your practical guides can become paid assets • Your thinking can be found where people already search • And your expertise is signalled through Amazon, not just a download link This is exactly why our forthcoming book writing course for advisers isn’t about becoming an author for the sake of it. It’s about turning what you already know into something structured, credible and monetisable – and placing it inside a new search environment where you and your expertise can be found. You can even create content specifically for Amazon which promotes you, your service and your expertise... The course begins 20th January, with the first session repeated on 27th January.
