🤗Now that you do , follow Instructions (Equifax Upload - Data Breach)
- Log into your Equifax portal.
- Click on “File Dispute.”
- Select the account you want to dispute.
- Choose “Account ownership and fraud issues.”
- Select “I am a victim of identity theft and have a police report or FTC ID theft.” In the comments section, paste the following: "I am a victim of a data breach and identity theft. Kindly block and delete the account within 4 business days as required by FCRA 605B, 15 USC 1681c-2. Please find the attached FTC reports and other relevant documents."
- For the required document upload, select "An FTC Identity Theft Report" and then click "Browse files to upload."
- Upload the necessary documents (Dispute letter, FTC report, ID, SSN, screenshot of data breach victim proof, if applicable).
- Click “Upload” to ensure all documents are successfully uploaded.
- Click “Review and Submit Dispute.”
- You can either dispute additional accounts or click "Submit Dispute" to complete the process.
