Collections Acct help

Ok family! I need help

I pulled my credit report on identity iq and I see an account I’ve never seen on my credit report. Yes I know about the count but this is my first time seeing it listed.

I am actually trying to go back to school and just called the Ohio attorney general last week where this payment was. It’s now with a collection agency and the balance is at about $8100.

Before I proceed with letters any advice on how to move forward with this account since I’m trying to go back to school and this balance needs to be tooken care of.
