Properly loading your travel trailer is critical for stability and control on the road. Misplaced weight is the leading cause of dangerous trailer sway (the "fishtail" effect).
The Pro Tip: Remember the "60/40 Rule" for a perfect tow.
Aim to place approximately 60% of your cargo weight in the front half of the trailer—specifically, in front of the axle(s). The remaining 40% of the weight goes to the rear section. This places necessary weight on the tongue and hitch, stabilizing the entire rig.
A balanced trailer is a happy trailer (and a much safer drive).
