Hi everyone — I’m Tara, homeowner here in San Diego (La Mesa), CA, and the creator of this community.

I built my own 400 sq ft ADU in 2025 for about $100K, when every general-contractor bid I got was between $250K – $300K. I did it as an owner-builder, managing every step myself — permits, subs, financing, inspections — and saved well over six figures.

My ADU has added $250,000 in equity to my property and rents for $2700 per month.

This club is for homeowners who want to do the same: take control of their project, save serious money, and feel confident every step of the way.
