Have you seen this on a membership request? ⚠️ SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH

If you've been wondering what "SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH" means in Skool or what you're supposed to do when you see it, this video walks through exactly how I handle those membership requests.

I use Auto Approve in my communities, so the only membership requests I have to manually review are the ones Skool's AutoMod flags as High Risk.

In the video, I walk through my entire process.

The first thing I do is start looking for anything that doesn't add up. Sometimes the location doesn't match. Sometimes their profile activity is just copy and pasted "Hello everyone, I'm new here" posts across multiple communities. Sometimes the messages are the typical spam conversation starters that don't feel genuine.

None of those things by themselves prove someone is a spammer. I'm simply looking at the signals available to help me decide whether I want that person in my community.

If I'm confident it's a fake account or spammer, I report the account and ban it.

The reporting part is important because it helps Skool review the account. Banning also keeps that same account from sending another membership request to your community.

According to Skool's Help Docs, AutoMod looks at multiple signals to identify High Risk users. That's why I don't ignore the SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH warning. I take a minute to review the account before making a decision.

AutoMod catches a lot, but nothing catches everything. I also have posting and chat restricted for new members because every once in a while a spam account will still get through.
