Back from the dead and feeling behind...

Ok guys I'm feeling much better after a crazy few days, to recap I had the flu, one the worst I've experienced...I had a 103 fever for days and in the midst of that I had to help my friend and her 10 month old find a women and children's shelter to stay in, which is actually WAY harder than it should be it took 3 days and buying hotels rooms and calling people...anwayssss

Taking my first "time off" from this whole art business journey that I started 8 weeks ago, feels weird and slightly stressful and I wanted to make a post amongst our little group here in case anyone feels the same.

In our current climate there's a huge emphasis on social media, speed of growth, and consistency which I'm fine with!! It's how marketing works now and if you try to fight it you probably won't be successful. However...What I'm going to try very hard not to do is to let those "rules" takeover my life and define my self worth.

This sounds DRAMATIC but I'm a very all or nothing individual, If I have streaks, I don't like to break them, If I have goals I usually do EVERYTHINGGGGG in my power to reach them. This is not always a good quality, especially in this instance because when days come up where I'm not able to post on my Socials or in this community, I feel I have failed, I lose motivation, I lose my rhythm and I feel like I'm "behind".

So I had to remind myself that although I may be my own "boss", I don't actually have one!! THAT'S SO COOL!! Plus I'm pursuing my passion which NEWSFLASH -> I'm meant to enjoy it!!!

If I'm behind I can apply for an extension and it will be approved, because I'm the only person I answer to right now.

I hope someone else can relate to this, I'm excited to get back at it!!!
