Welcome for a new week of playing!
Happy Monday!
This week's focus is on the thing that trips up every beginner: Chord Transitions!
It's frustrating when your fingers don't move fast enough, but consistency is the secret weapon to smooth transitions.
Here is your focused, consistent goal for the week:
- Pick Two Chords: Let's say G and C. (Or any two you are struggling with!)
2.The Consistency Rule: Commit to practicing this transition for just 10 minutes every single day this week.
3.Slow Motion Drill: Set a timer. Play the G, count "1-2-3-4," then transition to the C as fast and accurately as you can, count "1-2-3-4."
5.Accuracy First: For the first 5 minutes of your session, focus only on the placement and getting the transition soundless.
Only strum after your fingers are perfectly in place.
Your brain builds muscle memory much faster through daily, consistent effort than through long, sporadic sessions.
Show up for your 10 minutes, and watch your transitions start to fly by Friday!
Let's build that daily habit! 💪
