Playing Small?
Playing it safe and playing small feel like the same thing. They're not.
You didn't ask for it. You didn't bring it up in the meeting. You shrunk the goal before anyone had a chance to say no to it.
You called it being realistic. Staying grounded. Not getting ahead of yourself.
But underneath that — you already know. A small goal is a safe goal. And a safe goal can't disappoint you.
Here's the part that stings a little: safe and stuck live at the same address. You can stay there as long as you want. Nobody's going to make you leave.
The men who actually get unstuck aren't the ones who suddenly get brave overnight. They're the ones who stop calling it "realistic" and start calling it what it actually is — small.
You're not lazy. You're not broken. You've been protecting yourself from a disappointment that hasn't even happened yet.
Naming it isn't the fix. It's the first honest look — and that's where every real change starts.
Where have you been playing it safe instead of playing it real? Drop it below.
