Break the Freeze
Overwhelm doesn't actually come from having too much to do. It comes from staring at all of it at once — and your brain freezes because it can't find a place to start.
Here's the move: pick the one thing creating the most overwhelm right now. The thing you've been avoiding, the one sitting at the back of your mind all day.
Set a timer for 5 minutes. Start on it. Just start — no plan, no "doing it right," no finishing it.
When the timer goes off, you're allowed to stop. Most of the time you won't want to — starting was the whole problem, not the task itself.
This isn't about productivity. It's about proving to yourself you're not stuck, you were just frozen. Keep moving forward — a 5-minute start beats a perfect plan you never touch.
What's the thing you've been staring at instead of starting? Set the timer today and tell me what happened when it went off.
